At Tyntesfield Primary School we work hard to create a caring, nurturing and inclusive environment, which enables all children to grow as learners and in which they are challenged to achieve their best. We aim to ensure that every child with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) is identified and provided for as early as possible through working closely with parents and carers. Through
Quality First Teaching, high quality adaptive practice and targeted
adult support, children are able to learn in the classroom alongside their peers. Intervention programmes to address specific needs take place in small groups or individually and are frequently reviewed to ensure progress is maintained. Our staff are committed to giving all children in our care the best possible school experience and we look forward to working with you to support your child. If you have any queries about SEND, please speak to your child’s class teacher in the first instance.

Our PUPIL SUPPORT TEAM led by our SENCO, Mrs Knowles and Miss Chester our Inclusion Lead, together they work to ensure provision is fully inclusive and effectively meets the individual needs of every child.

Our governor responsible for monitoring the SEND provision is Mrs Adanna Uzoigwe.

Our SEND Information Report is in line with the SEND Code of Practice and is available below.
