Governor Profiles
I am Helen and I'm the Chair of Governors at Tyntesfield. Originally I was a parent governor for several years and vice chair for the two years prior to the school establishing Inspiring Learners Multi-Academy Trust. I am now Chair of both local governing bodies within our Trust and it is a role I thoroughly enjoy. Since then, I have been very excited to see the continued growth and development of Tyntesfield and am delighted to be continuing on the school's journey.
I am also parent governor at Sale Grammar School.
My background is in nursing, working for the NHS as ward sister, however after the birth of my third child I became a full time stay at home mum. My association with Tyntesfield started in 2006 when my eldest daughter started in Nursery. My youngest has now left Tyntesfield and I am immensely proud of everything all three of my children have achieved whilst pupils at this school.
For me, it has always been important that school is more than just a place of learning. It’s a community that we can all be part of. Support and friendship are key and are exemplified by Tyntesfield.

Hi, I’m Kate. I’m a co-opted Governor at Tyntesfield and have two daughters at the school. My day job is as Solicitor at an international law firm, practising in and operationally managing our catastrophic and large loss injury insurance team.
Tyntesfield made a big impression on me even before my girls started. I met Kathryn Manion and, even now, I cannot think of another person who is so dedicated and devoted to their job (although her staff do give her a run for her money!) Her enthusiasm is infectious and I couldn’t wait for my eldest to start at the school. When I was approached as someone who would meet a skill set gap on the governing board, I had to say yes. It’s a privilege to be able to contribute to the school and I’ve enjoyed my first year in post, with my link role in Reading.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, running (slowly) and spending time with my wife and our two gorgeous girls.
Adanna Uzoigwe
Hello my name is Adanna.
I am pleased to be a newly appointed co-opted governor at Tyntesfield Primary School.
My history with Tyntesfield started in 2010 when both my boys started their year 1 and year 4 education respectively. I am pleased with the young men that they are and that is a huge testament to their time spent there.
I have worked in the Education sector for over 20 years as a Secondary school teacher and have experience in policy making, planning, budgeting and team building.
I feel passionately about the role of education and how it can shape young people for the better.
I live locally with my husband and children.
Kathryn Manion
I am proud to be Headteacher at Tyntesfield, ours is a vibrant, exciting, forward-thinking school and it is a privilege to be Headteacher here, to work with and lead our amazing school community.
Our Mission Statement 'We grow as learners, to be the best we can be, through care, collaboration and challenge' is at the heart of everything we do here at Tyntesfield and it is a privilege to work with such hard working and committed staff and governors who strive to ensure the very best for every child.

I became a Governor in 2018 after my son started in Reception and I am now a co-opted governor, Chair of Resources Committee and Vice Chair of Governors.
I grew up in Northumberland but my wife and I settled in Manchester after studying at the University. I work as a Chartered Accountant and Tax
Adviser with M&S. Prior to working at M&S I qualified as a solicitor working in tax litigation at PricewaterhouseCoopers. When I can, I enjoy running with Sale Harriers.
I hope to help and be part of providing the best education to the children of Tyntesfield. Tyntesfield is a special place in our community and I’m very proud to be both a parent and a governor.
Vicky Middlemast
My sons started at Tyntesfield in September 2022 in reception and nursery, and we’ve been so impressed by everything Tyntesfield offers. I was delighted to have recently joined the board of governors as a parent Governor. Over the coming years, I hope to play a role in helping Tyntesfield continue to excel into the future.Â
Working in roles in sales and marketing has given me varied experience and for the past five years, I’ve enjoyed working at Kellogg’s in Media City. I’m passionate about creating a positive culture, and achieving success through bringing the right people together.Â
I enjoy swimming, in the pool with Trafford Metro through the year and I’ve also done a lot of open water swimming.Â

Hi I’m Michelle, I have been a co-opted Governor at Tyntesfield since 2021, sitting on the Resources Committee.
I work in project management for an education technology company and have always had a passion for education.
I have a young son of primary school age and Governance was something I have always been interested in. However, I wanted to pursue this outside of my son’s school.
As soon as I met with Kathryn Manion and visited Tyntesfield I knew this was where I wanted to begin my Governance. The values are clearly embedded across the whole of the school community and I am very grateful to now be a part of this community.

I feel very privileged to have been elected parent governor. Both of my children attend Tyntesfield Primary School and to say they thoroughly enjoy it, is an understatement! As an Associate Solicitor (for Slater Heelis Solicitors, Sale), having an eye for the detail whilst at the same time understanding the wider picture is one of the skills I hope to bring to the governing body.
The governing body is a dedicated and enthusiastic team who work closely and collaboratively with the trust board to give the children the best possible opportunities to learn, to grow and achieve excellence. I am very excited about the opportunity that has been entrusted to me by my fellow parents and I look forward to helping the school inspire a community of learners and leaders.

I am very pleased and proud to be the Staff Governor here at Tyntesfield Primary School. As a new member of staff since September 2022, it has been exciting to see what the school community offers to its pupils and families – I can honestly say that it is truly a privilege to be a part of Tyntesfield. Â
Here at Tyntesfield Primary School, we strive to achieve our best, through care, collaboration and challenge – we believe that this mission statement is not only for the
children but adults too. Therefore, as staff governor, it is my role to make contributions from a staff point of view, to ensure that everybody involved in the school, reaches their full potential. Â
In addition to the Staff Governor role, I am a Class Teacher and the school’s SENDCo. I am extremely passionate and committed to ensuring children develop in all areas of life, with their happiness and well-being at the centre of all I do.
I am both honoured and excited to have joined the Tyntesfield family on its never-ending journey of supporting children to grow.
