At Tyntesfield we recognise that extra-curricular activities boost young people's confidence to interact socially with others; extend their social networks; help children to learn about themselves; develop and use their skills and knowledge in different contextsand provide them with new skills and abilities. Above all, we aim for our extra-curricular opportunities to offer an important space for our children to have fun and relax away from the pressures of life.
We are extremely proud of the extra-curricular activities that we provide at Tyntesfield Primary School and we have an extensive range of activities provided both by our staff and outsourced clubs. We encourage lots of extra-curricular activities to enrich the curriculum and children's learning; to broaden their experiences, develop creative skills and take their interests further. Different clubs are offered each term before, during lunch and after school so there is always the opportunity for the children to try out something new. We listen to our children and consult with them on what clubs they want to engage with and this is then reflected in our offer each term.
