Welcome to Year 4. I am Mrs Brooke, and together with Mrs Goodman, we are excited to be working with the children as they progress through the juniors and experience life in KS2. We are keen to see them push themselves, grow in confidence, independence and develop a true sense of their own value and capabilities. I am looking forward to working with all the children in my class, and their parents, to ensure that we have a successful year together to prepare them for their next step into Upper Juniors and beyond.

In Year 4, we will be learning about key eras in history (Greeks, Romans, Vikings and British Monarchs), the UK and seaside environments, expand our scientific skills over a wide variety of topics (such as sound, electricity, animals and states of matter), plus, of course, many musical and artistic opportunities which link closely to our foundation subject topics (including Roman dancing, Rock n Roll, collage making, paint and sculpture work).

We look forward to a really exciting year of learning, challenge and fun!
