Welcome to Year 3!

My name is Mrs Sommerville and I am so excited to be at the start of your child's journey in "the juniors" at Tyntesfield. Mrs Wainwright is our wonderful TA who will be supporting us in English and Maths each morning and is really looking forward to spending time in our class. Year 3 will be an exciting year for us all, with fascinating topics to cover such as Extreme Earth, Ancient Civilisations and Protecting our Oceans. There will be lots to learn and enjoy!

In 3SS we aim to create an engaging and respectful learning environment in which the children develop the confidence and resilience required to take risks and positively relish the prospect of challenge; remember it's ok not to be perfect and that we don't have it quite right...yet! I am really excited to see and develop the fantastic skills your children have to offer and I always strive to work closely with parents and colleagues to create the greatest experience for the children! I look forward to a wonderful year!
