We aim to inspire, enthuse, challenge and stimulate a passion for artistic experimentation and creativity. We recognise the importance of equipping our children with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own works of art, craft and design and we recognise the significance of providing pupils with an outlet to express their creativity through an artistic process.  As our pupils progress through the artistic process, they will become more aware of their own skills development through critical thinking and develop a more rigorous understanding of art and design; both of which will equip them to create their own pieces of art, craft and design.  Within the process, our children will enjoy the opportunity to appreciate and evaluate the work of themselves and others in turn stimulating a curiosity to discover how Art can express thoughts, opinions and information about our history and cultures. Our children should also know how art and design both reflect and shape our history, and contribute to the culture, creativity and wealth of our nation.
