Admissions

Making the decision of where your child goes to school is of utmost importance. We believe that the best way to really get to know a school is to visit it. We welcome parent visits to Tyntesfield as it gives you a chance to see a 'working school'. The visit will take you around the building and facilities, see children learning and at play and give you a chance to ask questions throughout the visit. We look forward to seeing you.

If you would like to visit Tyntesfield please contact the office:

The closing date for applications for admission in the academic year 2023 is 15 January 2023. The local authority will inform you of the decision in April when they allocate all school places.

Starting School
Once you have been allocated a place at our school you will be invited to attend a parents information evening (new Reception and Nursery parents) where you will meet the classteacher, have a tour of the school and go through administrative procedures.

At the welcome meeting, all aspects of school life will be explained and a number of forms will be issued for completion, to return to the school office.

Waiting Lists
Admission authorities must maintain a clear, fair and objective waiting list for at least the first term of the academic year of admission.

A waiting list for our school is held by Trafford Admissions and is run throughout the year for every year group. Each added child will require the list to be ranked again in line with the published oversubscription criteria.

Please note that a place in Nursery Class does not guarantee a place in Reception Class – all parents must still apply for a place in Reception class which will be allocated in accordance with the school' Admission Arrangements.
